Covid-19 Safety Protocols & Resources
We are currently open and are keeping a reduced schedule to allow time to sanitize between patients. We will be taking the following measures to ensure the safety of both patient and practitioner, but please be aware that while we will do everything we can to prevent the spread of COVID19, coming in is still a mutual risk. We appreciate your cooperation with our current protocols at this time.
Clinic Setting:
Hand sanitizer will be provided in the waiting room, reception desk and each treatment room. The bathroom has a hand washing station. Unnecessary decorative items and reading material have been removed. The clinic will be will be fully disinfected after every new person passes through with an EPA approved (for COVID19) germicidal wipe.
Treatment Room:
Each room has been outfitted with a HEPA air filter that will be running the duration of each treatment. Treatment tables will be outfitted with table paper over a waterproof, sanitizable table covering. Pillows have been covered in hypoallergenic zip-up coverings that can be washed (in addition to pillow cases). Each room will be fully disinfected after every treatment with an EPA approved (for COVID19) germicidal wipe.
PPE:
We will be wearing KN95 masks, scrubs. I will not wear gloves while needling to prevent accidental needle stick, but will be washing my hands before and after and using hand sanitizer as needed.
Patients:
All patients will be required to wear a mask when entering the clinic, and will be required to wear the mask through the duration of their treatment. Homemade cloth masks are fine. If you arrive early for your appt time, please wait outside until the correct time to reduce the number of patients in the waiting room. Additionally we will not be able to accommodate any family members in the waiting room or treatment room. If anyone needs to escort you to your appt, please have them wait outside until you are finished.
In an effort to reduce talking time in the treatment room, we will do your intake over the phone. I will schedule a time for a call to discuss your reason for treatment.
If you are feeling any sign of respiratory distress (fever, chest pain, cough), please stay home and we can do a video consult to assess your symptoms and take appropriate measures. All patients will have their temperature taken at the door. Any internal temperature measuring greater than 100.4 degrees will be asked to reschedule and referred out. There will be no penalty for rescheduling.
Payment:
We will be requiring hands-off payment for the time being. No cash, please. This means you will be digitally invoiced while you are on the treatment table, and will be asked to pay in full by the end of the business day that same day. At the time of that first invoice we will request to keep your credit card on file and then for future appointments we will automatically charge your card on file while you are on the table.
Scheduling:
Until further notice, we will be seeing only one patient at a time, with only one practitioner in the office at a time. We will be spreading treatment times so that we can appropriately disinfect.
